The Bradley Command Post (BCP) features the latest digitized electronics for optimum situational awareness, network connectivity and communication within the Heavy Brigade Combat Team. The Bradley's proven durability and commonality of design reduces the logistics burden, while enhancing battlefield performance to meet a variety of mission requirements in close-combat, urban scenarios and open-combat situations.
The BCP provides an unmatched capability for Commanders and their staffs to move to the decisive point on the battlefield under all conditions. A common C4I Mission Equipment Package is integrated within the BCP providing a networked system which hosts the Battle Command Software, Digital Communication Tactical Radios for Line of Sight, and Broadband Beyond of Line of Sight capability - while on the move.
Survivability - Enhanced armor protection includes roof fragmentation protection, squad ventilated face piece and mounts for armor tiles for additional protection against shaped charge munitions. Digital architecture and programmable displays readily accept new technologies.
Mobility - Increased driver field of vision aids maneuverability under close-in, urban combat.
NetCentric Operations - Approved and fielded C2 and C4ISR technologies supporting Net-Centric Operations on the move and at the halt with enhanced network connectivity consisting of Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) voice, video and data over classified and sensitive but un-classified networks. Integration of ABCS software applications, servers, and tactical operation center functions providing commanders and staff the ability to plan, execute and conduct operations at the halt or on the move. Capability to integrate current and future communications leveraging secure wireless LANS, software defined radios, and the NetCentric Waveform providing increased interoperability with JNN, WIN-T, FCS and JTRS networks.
