The Bradley A3 is one of the finest combat vehicle system in the world. The A3’s proven durability and commonality of design reduce the logistics burden, while enhancing battlefield performance to meet a variety of mission requirements in close-combat, urban scenarios and open-combat situations.
The Bradley Urban Survivability Kit (BUSK) is a series of rapid development vehicle survivability improvements specifically designed for today's urban battlefield. BUSK can be applied as modification kits to vehicles currently deployed in theater to bring survivability enhancements directly to the soldier. BUSK III improvements include:
- Emergency Ramp Release providing squad personnel the capability for emergency egress by lowering the ramp on battle a damaged vehicle
- Bradley Fuel Cell Survivability which increases protection by implementing a new lower fuel cell bladder that provides improved fuel containment during IED events
- Bradley Advanced Survivability Seats-Driver which implements energy absorbing seats and foot rests that reduce blast effects transmitted through the vehicle floor
- Turret Advanced Survivability System which provides enhanced protection against IEDs for the Gunner/Commander positions by implementing foot rests and floor plates
BUSK III is the third phase in providing enhanced urban survivability solutions for the Bradley and the soldier.
