Eggstra-ordinary generosity from BAE Systems

Hundreds of children across Lancashire, who wouldnt have received an Easter Egg this Easter, will now do so thanks to the generosity of BAE Systems employees at Samlesbury.

Employees at BAE Systems have donated 330 Easter Eggs which have, in partnership with Community & Business Partners Ltd, been distributed to a selection of charities across the county. Charities that have benefited from BAE Systems generosity include Banardo's Family Action, What Children Need, The Catholic Children's Rescue Society, Childrens Services Child Protection Team, THOMAS and Nightsafe.

Julie McGeoch, Charity Challenge Co-ordinator at BAE Systems at Samlesbury, said: The kindness of our employees never ceases to amaze me. We asked employees to buy an extra Easter egg this year in order for us support the Community & Business Partners initiative. I was delighted that we received over 300.

Wendy Hobson, Employee Community Involvement Manager at Community & Business Partners, added: I would like to send a big thank-you to all the staff at BAE Systems at Samlesbury who contributed to the Easter egg collection this year. Their kindness will help make someones Easter happier than it would have been.
